Cleaning price of tapestry:from 50€ HT/m2
Before any cleaning operation, we test the reliability of the structure and the colors of the tapestry,
if this test allows us, we start the first cleaning procedure :
The tapestries are the object of a meticulous dusting by a micro-aspiration on the front and back.
The cleaning of an old or contemporary tapestry is carried out on a sieve, always flat and with a minimum of manipulations when it is soaked in water with its active agents.
It is about an essential point: a wet tapestry becomes heavy and thus fragile because its fibres become much more prone to deformation, even rupture; it is thus essential to avoid any handling on a wet tapestry.
One lets soak the tapestry between 1 hour and 6 hours according to its degree of dirtiness by renewing the operation every 1/2 hour. The success of a cleaning will depend on the proportioning and the nature of the detergent which one applies according to the type of tapestry by taking into account its smoothness and its state of conservation. Indeed, a tapestry in bad state with silks which fuse will have to be handled with a tiny precaution to avoid an aggravation of the zones to be restored.
The drying must then be carried out quickly to avoid the migration of the colors. The tapestry is left flat on the sieve after cleaning, in order to ensure a good air circulation.
The tapestry does not undergo any handling during all the duration of the treatment.
