Aubusson Tapestry - La Main Chaude

This fine tapestry is woven in wool and silk, with polychrome decoration representing Colin Maillard's play. Rolling border of acanthus leaves and bouquets of flowers.

At the end of the 18th century, the Aubusson Manufacture put on the loom a hanging of "rustic amusements" inspired by the works of Jean-Baptiste Huet, which renewed the one after Oudry executed by the Beauvais Manufacture.
