The Apotheosis of the Arts
Fine Brussels tapestry (fragment) woven in wool and silk in the middle of the 17th century with the register La apoteosis de las artes after the carton by Corneille Schutz.
A similar piece measuring 4m by 6.50 is kept in the church of Santo Domingo in Castrojeriz, Spain. The tapestry in question was recovered after 40 years by the Spanish police and returned to the Archdiocese of Burgos in February 2022.
Our house ensures you the sale of a tapestry with invoice and approved expertise, well cleaned, in good condition with its fixing system. Should this be necessary, we will specify the work that has been done. All our tapestries can be presented to your home in France and bordering countries before your final decision.
