Flemish Gothic tapestry - Brussels (ca. 1500), woven in st sois wool, depicting a court scene with Maximilian I (1459-1519).
Under a canopy, alongside two rich ladies, each with a retinue of courtiers behind them, the young Philip (1478-1506 - father of Charles V) stands in the center, in front of the group.
They are dressed in deep blue garments trimmed with green and brick-red Gothic bocard. To the left and right, stone columns topped by kneeling angels holding parchment leaves.
A narrow blue and green border decorated with a lattice of oak leaves surrounds the tapestry.
